At Mt. Mahogany, we continually encourage students to choose kindness. We are proud to partner with other schools in Pleasant Grove, along with the Jimmer Fredette Family Foundation to promote kindness with several activities throughout this year.

Fall school pictures will take place on Monday, September 24.
There will be no school on Monday, September 3, for Labor Day.
If your child is part of our Extended Day Kindergarten (OEK), we will be holding an informational meeting on Wed., Sept. 5, from 5:30-6:15 pm in Mrs. Smith’s room.
Kindergarten testing will take place August 20-22 from 9:15-3:00pm in the Kindergarten rooms. Testing is first come first served, but there should be plenty of availability in the afternoons. Class assignments will take place after testing is completed.
The Kindergarten Open House will be on Friday, August 24, from 4:00-6:00 pm.
The first day of school for 1st-6th Grade will be Monday, August 20. The first day of Kindergarten will be Monday, August 27.
We wanted to take this opportunity to remind each family about the “Free and Reduced Lunch” program. The “Free and Reduced Lunch” program is funded by the federal government to assist families who could benefit from reduced meal costs for students. Those families who do qualify are able to get school breakfast and lunch for their children at a much lower cost or no cost at all. Many of our students already benefit from this program. We would like all who qualify to also take advantage of this opportunity. We strongly encourage every family to fill out this form, which remains confidential. Just because you qualify, doesn’t mean you have to participate, but it will help the school to do more than we have before to benefit all students. Unfortunately, if our percentage of students drops below the qualifying level, we can also lose the funding for our school.
