Taken from Kindness: A Powerful Tool for Prevention - PG Cares
Kindness builds connection. When people feel seen, valued, and included, they are more likely to speak up, ask for help, and look out for one another. Small acts—smiling at someone, checking in, listening without judgment—can create a sense of belonging that protects against isolation and harm.
Research consistently shows that strong, supportive relationships reduce risk factors and strengthen resilience. A culture of kindness helps people feel safe, which lowers stress and increases trust. In schools, workplaces, and communities, this kind of environment makes it easier to notice early warning signs and step in before problems grow.
Join us throughout February as we celebrate Kindness Month in PG!
